2001 BET/USET Medal Finals East

Finalist - Krista Freundlich

Krista Freundlich and S&L Appear-AlS&L Appear-Al, S&L Farm's Dutch Warmblood gelding, is no stranger to the USET Medal Finals. The highly respected equitation mount won the USET Finals - East, in 1998 for Cullen Latimer.

Back at the location of the USET's training grounds for 51 years, "AI" carried 16-year old 2001 Krista Freundlich, from Locust, NJ to a third place finish over a field of 59 of the most talented Junior and Young Rider entries in the Eastern United States. Together since May of this season, they have trained, with Frank and Stacia Madden, for this moment. Freundlich, a senior at Middletown High School South, has had a busy summer with successful wins at the Hampton Classic, a 2nd in the Governor's Cup Equitation Classic
