Junior Jumpers take their Turn at The USET Festival of Champions

Bloomburg's Husker Du Came as a Replacement

Georgina Bloomberg and Husker DuAt Gladstone it was jumpers all the way and Bloomberg had a number of horses she was competing on. Her most consistent was Husker Du.

"We got him to give me experience jumping the bigger jumps," explained Bloomberg who had only recently started competing in grand prix competition. "No matter what I do he'll keep jumping. He's such a sweetheart."

Bloomberg had not planned on showing Husker Du at the Festival but when Julius (one of her other mounts) came up lame when taken off the van, they decided to make the switch. "Husker is incredibly conventional. He turns when you want and does whatever you want. It's always nice to have a horse that sweet. Especially since my other horses are so unconventional," she explained.

Bloomberg along with many of the other riders, including Phillips, thought it was great that there was only one ring going at a time. She was glad she had such a nice victory on him. "It's always satisfying to win in the jumpers," she commented.
