Take Top Honors During the 2004 Los Angeles International
In the First Year Green Hunters, Leslie Steele and Jimmy Choo were champions for owner Laura Wasserman. Champion in the Second Year Green was Dearborn Stables' Soft Touch with John Bragg in the irons. Although it is a long trek to Los Angeles from his home base in Petaluma, California, Bragg appreciates the quality shows and keen competition Southern California offers. Hap Hansen, who posted his 94th career grand prix win last week, showed his versatility by piloting Zico (Conley Classic, LLC, owner) to the Green Conformation Hunter Champion. Junior and amateur riders took over the hunter rings beginning on Friday. In the Children's Hunter division, Allison VanSickle rode her Dutch Star to the 11 & under championship, and then she won the Marshall & Sterling Children's Classic on Sunday. In the Marshall & Sterling Adult Amateur Classic, Jennifer Zito led the victory gallop with her Arjento. Pony rider Olivia Esse captured the Pony Hunter Classic with Miss Australia. She was also reserve champion in the Small Pony Hunters behind Olivia Kohan and Hillcrest Pot of Gold. Delanie Stone rode her Punk'd to the Medium Pony championship. |
