The concert will follow terrier races and the $100,000 President’s Cup Grand Prix. The evening program starts at 7 pm and is sponsored by Market Salamander.

The 2005 Washington International Horse Show attracts a full crowd at the annual $100,000 President’s Cup Grand Prix and serves as one of our country’s most prestigious indoor grand prix events. Our country’s top equestrian riders, Olympic veterans, and multi-million dollar equine athletes will compete for top honors.

On Saturday night at approximately 10:30 pm, Tracy Byrd will perform songs from some of his famous albums which include: The Truth About Men, Ten Rounds, It’s About Time, I’m from the Country, Love Lessons, and No Ordinary Man.

Tracy Byrd offered the comment, “I’m honored to have the opportunity to play at such a prestigious and nationally known event as the Washington International Horse Show in October. Being from Texas, I definitely love and respect horses and have participated in a number of celebrity horse cutting events. My 11 year old daughter has been taking horse back riding lessons and cutting lessons for several years now, and she’d rather be on a horse than anywhere else. I’m looking forward to meeting the people and viewing the fine horses while we’re there.”

Byrd began his country music career over ten years ago. After recording a demo with a friend and winning a local talent show, Byrd began performing at a country music club in Beaumont, Texas. His career soon took off, and he has recorded a multitude of songs and has worked with a number of country music talents.

Byrd received high acclaim from fans for “The Keeper of the Stars,” a song released during the 1990s, and he signed with the record label RCA in 1999. Currently, his major hits include “Drinking Bone,” “How’d I Wind Up in Jamaica,” and “Baby Put Your Clothes On.”

In addition to the 110 dates scheduled during the country star’s yearly tour, Byrd hosts Mossy Oak’s Hunting the Country, a show on ESPN2. Byrd also participates in a number of different philanthropic activities that benefit the Children’s Miracle Network and the Tracy Byrd Hyperbaric Medicine and Wound Care Center at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, Texas. Residing near Beaumont, Texas, Byrd lives with his wife, Michelle, and children Evee, Logan, and Jared.

Plan now to join in on the fun on Saturday, October 29, 2005 as grand prix riders compete for over a $100,000 in prize money and star Tracy Byrd blasts the MCI Center with the hottest country music tunes of today.
