Thursday, January 5, 2006 State Mourns Passing of HH Sheikh Maktoum Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Although there will be a period of state mourning in Dubai following the sad passing away of HH Sheikh Maktoum Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the Al Maktoum Challenge (11-13 January) will continue as planned. HH late Sheikh Maktoum played a pivotal role in the establishment of the Dubai Equestrian Club, and hence the realisation of the Al Maktoum Challenge. |
