Posted June 11, 2006 Thomas Frühmann Celebrates Victory in Cannes Four out of 18 riders that returned for the second round had been clear the first time out. Three were again faultless in the second round to force a jump-off: Michel Hecart (FRA) with Itot du Chateau, Thomas Frühmann (AUT) with The Sixth Sense and Nick Skelton (GBR) with Arko III. The Sixth Sense once again proved that he is top form by delivering the only triple-clear. "After Michel Hecart had a fast time but one fault, I decided to play for safety. If Nick Skelton would have won, it would have been okay with me," Frühmann admitted afterwards. He had nothing but praise for 'Sense', a ten-year-old Westphalian gelding who has claimed several big victories for Frühmann this year, saying "He fought like a lion!" With their first and second place finishes in the Grand Prix of Cannes, Frühmann and Skelton are automatically qualified for the next leg of the Global Champions Tour, sponsored by CN WorldWide, that will take place at CSI Monte Carlo in Monaco from June 22 to 24. 2006 Global Champions Tour Ranking (After Second Leg at CSI Cannes) Rank/Prize
