Elisabeth was born in Stockholm, Sweden, where she first started riding at the age of 10.After moving to Washington, DC in 1969 to work at the Swedish Embassy, Elisabeth became more interested in dressage and eventually competed with her own horse. She left the embassy in 1979 to work at the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, "The World Bank" until 1989, when she moved to Horsham, PA.

Elisabeth became a Technical Deligate in 1981 and is now also an FEI Steward. She has served as panelist for the AHSA Technical Deligates' Forum many times and has organised numerous dressage competitions, including the USPC National Championships, She was involved with the US Pony Clubs for many years as District Commissioner, Chairman of the Dressage Committee. Elisabeth has been fortunate enough to TD/FEI Steward throughout the US: Southern Pines International, Dressage at Devon, CDI-W's in Phoenix, Denver, Halifax, Raleigh, the World Cup Finals in Los Angeles, the Olympic Games in Atlanta, The North American Championships in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, as well as numerous AHSA competitions.

She is currently a Director of the AHSA, as well as a member of its Dressage, World Cup, Clinics and Education Committees. She is also active in the USDF, especially its Technical Deligates Council and FEI Managers Committee.

Hobbies and other interests pursued in her spare time , include gardening, knitting, taking long walks with her dog Molly, reading and driving her '79 Alpha Spyder with the top down on a sunny day!
