Aachen's Bid for the 2006 World Equestrian Games

"Where Horses are Family"
Aachen sets High Hopes on Tradition, Quality and Sustainability for the WEG 2006 Application

PavelAachen - Noble, warm colours, impressive pictures, instructive texts and a classy design with a lot of love for the details: This is how the bid book for the organisation of the World Equestrian Games 2006 presents itself. The bid book, which the Aachen-Laurensberger Rennverein (ALRV) and the German Equestrian Federation (FN) presented to the International Equestrian Federation (FEI) last Tuesday.

"Aachen has a unique horse-history, decades of experience as tournament organiser and a fascinating audience", said Klaus Pavel, President of the ALRV. And the intention and the contents of the application correspond with the quality and the pretence of the 140-page book: Because for Aachen as the venue for the World Equestrian Games 2006 strong arguments are pronounced, which list plain facts, figures and plans, but above all the unique tradition and experience which emphasise the extraordinary atmosphere and the familiarity of the tournaments in Aachen. This also explains the book's title: "Aachen, where Horses are Family."
