Opening
Ceremony, Royal Andalusian Extravaganza
Flamenco
Dancing and Sky Action
The
middle piece of the opening ceremony was reserved for the Flamemco dancers.
It started with children volunteers making circles, in which dancers
represented abstract horses. The horses' movements were a rhythmic dance
with strings on the beats of the music. Afterwards a famous Spanish
flamenco singer overpowered and oversang the enterance of a colorful
batch of young Flamenco chiquitas who turned the arena into a dancing
colorful sea of movement.
Before
every new show segment, the crowd was dazzled by the maneuvers of the
Spanish air force who did some scary loops while fuming out red and
yelloz smoke, which represent the colors of the Spanish flags. A B 52
style plane cruised the sky and was a predicator for more air action.
Within a few minutes ten parachutists came falling from the sky. One
of them had the Spanish flag attached to his feet.
