Now on Sale for the Metropolitan National Horse Show, National Horse Show
Indoor Championships, and National Horse Show Outdoor Championships
New York City, NY - August 8, 2003 - Tickets are now on sale for the new Metropolitan National Horse Show in New York City, NY, the National Horse Show Indoor Championships in Las Vegas, NV, and the National Horse Show Outdoor Championships in Wellington, FL. A schedule of highlights for the Metropolitan National Horse Show follows, so horse show fans can make their plans early. Ticket order forms may be downloaded at the National Horse Show website at www.nhs.org. "We're pleased to provide a range of ticket prices to the public," stated Bob Bell, manager of the Metropolitan National Horse Show and the National Horse Show Indoor Championships. "Both dedicated horse show fans and the general public, whom we hope will become interested in horse sports after attending the shows, will find ticket prices to fit every budget. I hope to see a lot of families out together enjoying the shows. And, by ordering tickets prior to October 1, customers will enjoy an early bird discount." General admission tickets start at just $10 per performance in all three locations when purchased before October 1. Ticket prices will be raised across the board after October 1. Reserved seating prices at the Metropolitan National Horse Show range from $20 to $75, while reserved seats at the National Horse Show Indoor Championships will be $15 to $75. Both these shows offer a 50% discount in certain seating sections for children 12 and under, and for groups of 20 people or more. At the National Horse Show Outdoor Championships in Florida, general admission tickets for Wednesday through Saturday, November 26 to 29, are $10 for adults and $7 for children and senior citizens. On Sunday, November 30, general admission tickets will cost $15 for adults, and $7 for children and senior citizens. Reserved seats will be $25 per day per person. A reserved box for four people will be $500 for the five days of the show. At the Metropolitan National Horse Show and the National Horse Show Indoor Championships, limited quantities of Diamond Horse Shoe Season Tickets will be offered for $2500. This includes VIP seating for four at all designated performances and complimentary admission to the VIP lounge in each location. Diamond Horse Shoe membership also provides exhibitors with preferred stabling at these two shows, upon application. There will be three price levels at the elegant Diamond Horse Shoe Club at the National Horse Show Outdoor Championships at the Palm Beach Polo Equestrian Club in Wellington. A Gold Level reserved section of six front row seats for each day and Friday night will be $5,000. The Silver Level will cost $3500, while the Bronze Level will be $2,000. The Bronze Level does not include seating for the Friday evening performance. The total admission capacity at the Metropolitan National Horse Show will exceed 5,000 people per performance. This includes reserved seating of 3,000, with the remainder of seating available for general admission. There will also be additional seating adjacent to the schooling area and in surrounding vendor and concession areas. The show will be viewable on television throughout Pier 94 at the Showpiers on the Hudson Complex in Manhattan. A reserved seating capacity of approximately 6,000 will be available at the National Horse Show Indoor Championships at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas. There is also additional facility space for general admission ticket holders. The Metropolitan National Horse Show takes place on October 29 to November 2 in NY, followed by the National Horse Show Indoor Championships at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas, NV on November 19 to 23. The final show of the three events organized in 2003 by the National Horse Show Association of America is the National Horse Show Outdoor Championships in Wellington, FL from November 26 to 30. All three shows will be rated "AA" by the national federation. Started in 1883, this is the 120th year for the National Horse Show Association of America.
