New York City, NY - September 29, 2003 - The National Horse Show Association of America (NHSAA) announced today that hunter and jumper entries are officially closed for the Metropolitan National Horse Show on October 29 to November 2 in New York City, NY. Final equitation entries must be received with all fees by Friday, October 10. The Metropolitan National Horse Show will take place at Pier 94 and the Show Piers on the Hudson Complex in Manhattan.

For the National Horse Show Indoor Championships in Las Vegas, NV on November 19 to 23 at the Orleans Arena, Tuesday, October 14 is the closing date for hunter, jumper, and dressage entries. If you are in doubt as to whether your entry might be accepted, you must nominate and apply for entry now if you wish to compete in Las Vegas.

Due to the October dates of the Arabian National and Morgan Grand National, post entries may be accepted up to Monday, November 3 for the purebred Arabian, Morgan and Three-Gaited Show Horses. Post entries will accepted in these divisions provided stabling space is available.

Several sections at the National Horse Show Outdoor Championships in Wellington, FL on November 26 to 30 close on Tuesday, October 14. Please check the prize list on line at www.nhs.org for exact closing dates and specifications.

The NHSAA is managing three shows this year: the Metropolitan National Horse Show (New York City, NY), the National Horse Show Indoor Championships (Las Vegas, NV), and the National Horse Show Outdoor Championships (Wellington, FL). All three shows will be rated "AA" by the national federation. Started in 1883, this is the 120th year for the National Horse Show Association of America.
