| "The
#1 Gala in Palm Beach County" Returning During The 120th National
Horse Show
Wellington, Florida - October 31, 2003 - The jump-start of the equestrian social season will take place during Thanksgiving week with the return of The National Horse Show, now in its 120th year, to the magnificent, world-class show grounds of The Palm Beach Polo Equestrian Club. Post-competition parties will abound each and every night. But the social piece de résistance of the week: Friday evening's black-tie Gala - "Jumping Under The Stars" - crowned last year "The #1 Gala in Palm Beach County" by Thom Smith, Society Editor of The Palm Beach Post. Held in the members'-only Diamond Horse Shoe Club, the crystal chandeliers will be alight, the formally-attired wait staff will be pouring only the finest wines and champagnes to the 360 equestrian swells in attendance, and the table will be set with linens, china, crystal goblets and silverware arranged around floral centerpieces. Cameras will be flashing all night, with media photographers snapping photos of this elite group for their society columns. While being wined and dined, Gala guests will watch the equestrian competition which will take place under the lights in the adjoining International Arena. The high point of the evening's competition will be the $100,000 grand prix. Mason Phelps, Jr. and Beverly Lake Wilkes will once again serve as Gala Chairs. Bruce Sutka will provide the evening's décor, and Ken Rose Catering will provide the cuisine. Tables of six in The Diamond Horse Shoe Club are available for the entire week of The National competition, including the Gala, at $5,000 for the front row and $3,500 for the second row. Subject to availability, a table for six for the Gala only is $1,500. There are no individual tickets. For further
