2004 CSIO Aachen Bruggink Wins Second Biggest Jumper Class at 2004 CSIO Aachen July 15, 2004
Beerbaum reintroduced his Hanoverian stallion Goldfever (Grosso Z x Galvano) back to the show ring in Aachen after a period of injury. Goldfever seemed extremely fit, as he claimed a second place with a 47.95 second jump off round. In third position were the Dutch Wim Schroder aboard Eurocommerce Montreal, a Holsteiner gelding by Athlet Z x Cor de la Bruyere. Schroder cleared the course in 48.89 seconds. Best American performance was produced by Alison Firestone who finished 6th aboard the Swedish warmblood Casanova (by Cortez) in 50.57 seconds. McLain Ward, Peter Wylde and Beezie Madden did not make it into the jump off. Aboard his Belgian warmblood Sapphire (Darco x Hedjaz), Ward knocked down one rail in the first round. He placed 18th. Peter Wylde and Fein Cera also had one rail and rode a 93.59 second round, placing them 20th. Beezie Madden and Authentic had two rails down and ranked 34th. by Astrid Appels of Eurodressage.com Back to the 2004 CHIO Aachen Index |
