OLN to Televise FEI World Cup Dressage Final, Presented by Offield Farms
Las Vegas, NV (May 18, 2005) The Outdoor Life Network (OLN) will televise a one-hour special broadcast of the FEI World Cup Dressage Final, presented by Offield Farms, on Monday, June 6th at 3:00 p.m. (EDT). In an unprecedented co-hosting of two of the world’s most prestigious and glamorous equine events, the FEI World Cup Dressage Final, presented by Offield Farms, was held alongside the FEI Budweiser World Cup Jumping Final, April 20 – 24. More than 90,000 fans attended the event at theThomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas. “We’re certainly looking forward to OLN’s presentation of the Dressage Final,” said Pat Christenson, president of Las Vegas Events, Inc., producer of the World Cup Finals in Las Vegas. “The atmosphere during the event was electric. This competition featured the best dressage riders and horses in the world, providing fans with many memorable performances that can be seen again on the telecast.” This year’s FEI World Cup Dressage Final was held in the U.S. for the first time since 1995. At the conclusion of competition, Anky van Grunsven of The Netherlands won her seventh World Cup Final. Van Grunsven and the 11-year-old Hanoverian gelding, Keltec Salinero, scored a total 86.725% with four artistic scores in the 90s. Edward Gal, also of The Netherlands, came in second to his trainer riding Geldnet Lingh. U.S. favorite and 2003 World Cup Champion, Debbie McDonald of Hailey, Idaho, and the 14-year-old Hanoverian mare, Brentina, came in third. Las Vegas Events, Inc.
