Wins First Competition of Sparkasse-Youngsters-Cup
German Victory in the Jumping Competition for Young Horses
Merry Chrismas, the Sachsen mare ridden by Rene Tebbel, finished second. The pair also finished the course without collecting any faults in a time of 63.19 seconds. The chestnut mare descends from Kolibri, who was considered to be the most successful producer of jumping horses in the former GDR states. Third place also went to Germany - namely Franke Sloothaak claimed this ranking with the eight-year-old Lordanos x Gimpel grey mare, Lou (63.94 seconds), ahead of the British rider Nick Skelton in fourth place. He rode the Holsteiner Concas, a seven-year-old Contender x Caletto II stallion. 27 horses took part in the competition in total. |
