8, 2001 Show Jumping Begins at NAYRC The show jumping competition is underway at the 2001 North American Young Rider Championships at Tempel Farms in Wadsworth, IL, August 7-12th . Yesterday consisted of the stable inspection, horse inspection and jog. Today all the riders are participating in a warm up round designed to familiarize the horses and riders with the ring, the jumps, and the general setting. Unfortunately Mexico did not send jumper teams as they chose to concentrate on the South American Junior Rider Championship. However, both the U.S. Zones and the Canadian Provinces sent competitive teams. There is both the Championship division and a Junior/Young Rider (JY) division for show jumping riders with both team and individual awards. The following teams are participating at this year's Championship: Championship
