HorsesDaily.com and DressageDaily.com will be on the scene covering the 2005 NAYRC, with the support of the websites’ CEO Mary Phelps, a Markel Equine Insurance Specialist. Located at the beautiful Virginia Horse Center, in Lexington, VA, the top young riders in the country in the disciplines of Dressage, Showjumping and Three Day Event, will be competing for team and individual medals July 26-31.

“We decided to add the NAYRC to our tour schedule since we are traveling in this beautiful area of the country over the summer months.” said Mary Phelps. “We know how much support this important competition needs, so we also contributed as a Blue Ribbon Sponsor, representing Markel Insurance as one of the company’s Equine Insurance Specialists.”

Mary Phelps, her husband JJ. Hathaway, and their traveling corgis Gizmo and Trooper, will be setting up the new HorsesDaily.com RV in the vendor area near the barns, and invite participants to stop by for a visit to learn more about equine insurance, and their website services. “We will be busy reporting on the events of the week as they unfold, and focusing on many of the individuals involved,” adds Mary. “Also we will be working closely with Horse TV as they cover the event, as well as an exciting project we are collaborating on, a documentary on the life of Major General Jonathan R. Burton.”

“The Virginia Horse Center is located in the beautiful and historic Shenandoah Valley, and provides an ideal facility for this event. We love any excuse to cover events in this region.”

Mary and JJ, who live in Florida, planned a full summer of travel throughout Central USA, as well as an August trip to Aachen. “After all the hurricanes last year, we decided this was the best strategy for us, and we got out just in time this year!” said Mary. “With Tracey Scharf running our office at home, we are having a great summer on the road, on the scene, and on the net.
