Cathy Morelli has gone full circle in her dressage training, from classical to "deep and over bent" returning to the more classical approach to dressage - riding the hindquarters with good balance and understanding the neck.

It is much more than merely keeping the poll the highest point, though eventually, as set forth in the FEI rules, the poll must necessarily and without exception be the highest point of the horse in competition.

Cathy maintains that for a horse to perform properly at the Grand Prix level, the horse has to have developed powerful muscles, especially the hindquarters.
