Shannon Dueck Korona is not Dueck’s Only Success
Dueck said the horse is a natural. "He does everything from the Grand Prix level. He's amazingly talented but opinionated and very athletic.” Dueck worked for some years with the talented Pegasus, bringing him along slowly and carefully all the way to Grand Prix. In 2003, KRS Pegasus debuted at Fourth level and Prix St Georges, getting scores over 70% at Fourth Level and 68.5% in the PSG and in 2004, he moved easily into Intermediaire. "He continued to amaze me, super talented for passage and piaffe, but was still developing his strength. He competed in CDI's in Europe in the small tour, and traveled with Korona for the large tour classes,” Dueck said. Her success in developing Pegasus into a top competitor was evident when the horse was sold to Europe as a potential team horse. Said Dueck, “I hope he lives up to his name and flies to the top!” Over the years, Dueck has started and trained a number of outstanding dressage prospects. Included in this group are Tividor (Krystalann) and Otharr, two shining star that got their starts through Dueck as three-year-olds and have developed beautifully over the years. Dueck is proudest of the success of her student. Shingler attended the USDF Annual Awards dinner in Orlando Florida to pick up her 2007 HOY Award for 4th Level (Adult Amateur). "This was a horse I picked out and have trained since he was three-years-old. I am particularly thrilled with this!" Dueck’s success with horses results not only from her own natural talent but also from good training. |
